  1. Hi, I have been asked to make enquiries on behalf of a good friend. He lives at Chapel Bank Cattery 29 Main Rd, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 9EY. The cattery has closed due to a recent bereavment. Deciding to clear undergrowth in an area he has never approached has come across a large area of a hidden wall which looks very old and would like to invite a metal detecting club to explore the area if they so wish. The site and land used to be a resting haven with a chapel (hence the name) many years ago and has history. I have tried to locate a MDC nearby without any success. Any help with some contacts in this field would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Peter

  2. Hi Peter, Unfortunately Nottinghamshire seems to be a bit of a dead end for metal detecting clubs. My best suggestion would be to try the nearest club to there from the list above. The location sounds great and I am sure there are plenty of detectorists that wouldn’t mind making the journey.
